Many small businesses do not think strategically about their marketing. They try a few things here and there but without a real plan. This usually gives poor results and wastes time and money.
Marketing Doesn’t Work?
Some companies even conclude that marketing doesn’t work when in reality it is their approach that is the problem. Some companies tell me that they do have a plan and run marketing programs but still achieve little success.
Poor Marketing Basics is Often the Problem
In cases like that I often find that the marketing basics have not been done properly. This causes the core messaging of the company to be ineffective. It doesn’t matter if you have a nice looking brochure or website if the content misses the mark.
